IT’S THE OILY LIFE FOR ME

f there’s anything that can make me come out of blog post hiding, it’s essential oils (or really anything to do with healthy living). My sister (EO pro) recently hosted a party featuring Young Living oils and it reignited my passion for the healthy, holistic lifestyle and DIY household goods. Seriously, did you know you can make your own deodorant?

So I’m sticking my toes back into the water and educating myself on great sites such as Young Living (seriously, check it out) and The Droppery, which introduced me to great DIY remedies and household cleaners. The best part is that it’s so much more affordable.

This brought me to my first hiccup… where do I found raw almond oil and white beeswax pastilles? What IS the heck a pastille? Naturally, I get online because I promise you no place in my town sells unbleached cocoa butter. To my happy surprise, I stumble upon Bulk Apothecary! This site is amazing! They seriously have everything and in lots of different sizes and costs so if you really want 16lbs of shea butter, you can have that. Do you want 30lbs of beeswax? Sure, you can have that too. I’ll take the 16oz but that’s just me.

Just for kicks, I went on Amazon (which is unfortunately notorious for people re-selling less potent/pure EOs and EO accessories, so I was already taking a huge risk there) and I DID find all the same ingredients. However, most products didn’t allow me to choose the size or weight, and it cost about $3-5 MORE per product. Crazy! So I quickly exited out of my Amazon cart and kept shopping at Bulk Apothecary.

And I STILL have good news for you. If you, like me, want to do some DIY home supplies (even if you’re not into EOs, making your own face cream is pretty darn fun) then click here to be redirected to Bulk Apothecary where they’ll give you $10 off your first order just to encourage you to get started! It’s a win-win. They even sell glass jars and containers to store your EO lotions, balms, shampoos, and such.

Check them out and use the link to make sure you get your $10. Enjoy the oily life!

When it comes about your home, one should take all cautionary steps to prevent any theft or burglary. The home security system provides all the required safety you need but there are other measures which you can take that will help keep your home safe.

Below are steps which you can use in your daily life to prevent any kind of hazard in your home.

Home Safety And Security Tips

Let people think that someone is at your house.

If you plan to be away for an extended period of time, leave a radio on or television on so that people will think that you are present in the house. You can use motion detectors as well as they will turn on an alarm once the thief tries to barge into your home.

Make sure all exterior doors have reliable locks.

Locking is very important for protecting your home and it is a task that you should take very seriously. You should lock all your doors with deadbolt locks which will help prevent you a break in.

Security Tips:

Always look before opening the door.

Before opening the door, always look who is it from the peep through a hole.it better to look for the person as it assures you of the presence of a known personality. It will take just 3 seconds to check through the peep through a hole and keep your valuable things in some places, like a gun safe ( there are various gun safe in the market, some are car gun safe and another one is cannon gun safe).

Don’t leave spare keys in easy locations.

Don’t leave keys where you know finding is easy. Thieves will usually find it and unlock everything in your house. This will obviously upset you because you made it easy for them.

Make your sliding glass doors secure

Using metal bars in the middle will burglar proof your sliding doors. Sliding doors are the usual break-in points and are most commonly used by burglars to steal things and raid your home.

Keep garage doors closed at all times.

Garage doors should be locked all the times. It is one of the easiest get ins for any thief as your garage door directly to your home.

Keep drapes and blinds shut.

Always keep your drapes and blinds shut. People are always on the lookout for what is happening in your home as they want to note down how many people are there and when is the home empty and stuff like that. So, therefore, it is essential to keep your drapes and blinds shut.

Store cash, jewelry and other valuables in a safe or safety deposit box.

Store your valuables in a safety box so that it is difficult for them to open. Never leave your valuables out in the open.
